Background: When natural disasters strike, there is a sudden decrease in access to care due to infrastructure loss and displacement. Methods: A literature search was conducted on PubMed, Cochrane, Google Scholar, and Embase databases. The search was restricted to studies that were population-based, prospective or retrospective. Only peer-reviewed articles were considered. The search was further restricted to manuscripts in English or officially translated manuscripts. All qualifying papers from which data were extracted were subjected to a quality assessment conducted by two indepe

let s talk about what concentrated areas are kind of in the bull s-eye, so to speak right now. florida among them. north florida and southern parts of georgia. it s really this squall line we are looking at right here that has the most potential for producing tornadic storms. right now there are no tornado warnings that are in effect. some of those thunderstorms could produce wind damage in excess of 60 miles per hour. sometimes those real down burst winds can cause as much damage as a tornado. you still need to stay indoors. another place that we are watching that s included in this tornado threat is jacksonville, florida. there you can see a live picture from jacksonville at this time. it s extremely windy. that s why you see all that crazy shaking going on on the camera there. 86 degrees. it s a very warm, very moist, ripe atmosphere. as that cold front starts to come on down and move into the region, that s when we are going to start to see that severe weather threat in

Presidential kacandidate? i don t know too much about rick perry. i didn t have much contact with him. he didn t involve himself much in the national governor s association. i was a member of the executive committee. so i didn t see him very often. oftentimes the governors from some of the larger states didn t get themselves involve in the associations. to me he set a blank slate right now. it will be interesting to see when he campaigns what his stances are. i will tell you this, he he talked about the department of transportation yesterday and, you know, you needed to make sure he got the facts right. what he said about the d.o.t. yesterday wasn t correct. all right, secretary tom vilsack, the new jobs initiative for rural america. thanks so much for being with us from iowa this morning. we appreciate it. thank you. all right, tomorrow we ll be joined here on morning joe by comedian harry schaerer. his documentary takes a look at hurricane katrina disaster in

Seen on television and heard over radio that at 1446 today an earthquake hit of 8.4 on the magnitude scale, centered around the shores offshore sanduku and a very strong earthquake. in the tohoku region mainly over a wide area, damage has been inflicted. i offer my deepest sympathy to the people who have suffered the disaster. regarding our nuclear power facilities, some of the nuclear power plants have stopped automatically. but so far no radioactive material or radiation has been confirmed to have been leaked to the outside. there has been no information of those lines so far. and given the situation, an emergency disaster response headquarters has been set up with myself as the head.
