The Ten-Mile Missionary Baptist Church in McLeansboro, IL will be hosting the Gospel Music Hymn Sing crew on Sunday evening August 14th at 6:00 p.m. This evening of music and entertainment is centered around the familiar hymns of the church. Under the direction of John and Judy Roberts, participants include many personalities from the very popular homecoming Gospel Choir musical experience. On 08/12/22, at 1:44 AM, Fairfield Police responded to 112 Highland Avenue, Fairfield on a Domestic Battery complaint. The investigation resulted in Jason R Pfaff, 39 of Fairfield, being arrested for battering his wife Misty L Paff, 44 of Fairfield. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail and lodged pending a bond hearing on a charge of Domestic Battery. Misty refused medical treatment. On 08/12/22, at 12:25 AM, Fairfield Police discovered an unresponsive male in a vehicle on the Methodist Church parking lot at 100 W Main Street, Fairfield. The investigation identified the driver as Hunter W White, 22 of Bluford, IL. After indications of possible impairment, White submitted to Field Sobriety Exercises and was determined to be under the influence. He was placed under arrest for being in physical control of a vehicle while Under the Influence (DUI) and transported to the Wayne County Jail where he provided a breath sample that indicated a Blood Alcohol of .091.
