I spent lockdown (all of them) working on my new book. It’s called Unspoken: Toxic Masculinity and How I Faced the Man Within the Man. I decided to write it because I was conditioned from a young age that what makes a man is strength, dominance and never crying. Growing up on a council estate in Custom House had a part to play in that and being a first-generation Brit from a Ghanaian family that didn’t always feel welcome in London contributed.
