United Airlines reported Monday that it has found loose bolts and installation issues on multiple 737 MAX 9 aircraft, which were grounded following a harrowing flight in which a similar Alaska Airlines jetliner was left with a gaping hole in its side.
There are approximately 1,459 Maui households living in various forms of mid- to long-term housing, and the plan’s goal is to increase that to 3,071 by March 1 and optimistically to more than 4,200 by July 1.
The forecast for Maui visitor arrivals is still down through 2024, and the overall visitor count to the state is lower at a time when state revenue is needed to support Maui.
