The city of Aberdeen worked with Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) on Wednesday in order to move the structures the homeless residents had previously built, or assembled to make themselves homes on State Street.
Trash is the No. 1 concern facing Aberdeen, according to the city of Aberdeen, its residents, business owners, unhoused community, the general public and people who shop within the city.
The Aberdeen Homelessness Response Committee is working on a proposal to help curb the waste issue that food and clothing donations are creating near the homeless encampment underneath the north side of the Chehalis River Bridge.
