Point-in-time counts nearly 300 unhoused people in Lowell

LOWELL In January, the city conducted its annual, federally mandated point-in-time count of the number of people experiencing homelessness, and found there are 189 sheltered and 97 unsheltered individuals in Lowell.

BERKELEY With People’s Park successfully walled off by a fortress of double-stacked shipping containers following an overnight hostile takeover, activists lost the base that for years had served as the heart of organizing efforts and community aid.
