3 local taxi companies are preparing for a busy night this new year s eve. news 13 s lauren brigman is live along from inside our mobiltrak unit. lauren, how are they planning to deal with the extra calls? some companies are bringing in extra drivers to work on of their busiest nights of the year. 3 checker cab company operates in hendersonville andd asheville.on any given day, they have about 15 taxis on the roads.but tonight, they will add up to eight increase in calls.the owner says though cabs will be in high demand, his rates will not go up on this busy night. 3 george scottowner, checker cab 27;29-40 the rates are two- fifty a mile, on a meter. say ten miles, would be 25 dollars. five miles, is what, twelve-fifty. 3 3 3 3 3 i-26 is back open this morning. after a fuel leak caused a crash and shut down part of the interstate. traffic was backed up for miles near the tryon exit on the polk-henderson county line. troopers say a truck was leaking fuel. making the road slick
