Hoboken Police Chief Ken Ferrante will retire July 1 after more than six years at the helm of the department and a cumulative 28 years in policing, he announced Tuesday.
The chief, 48, said he has “loved every second of” his time in the department and feels there is nothing left to accomplish in the position.
“For the past nine years, I have not disconnected from work, not one day and my command staff knows that is not an exaggeration,” Ferrante said. “Over 3,000 days straight where every single day I spoke to my command staff and answered emails and calls.”
