At some of the stories happening across the uk. to suffolk and how the cost of living crisis is hitting foodbanks. one charity says, at a time when demand is higher than ever, donations have started to dry up. it has hundreds of empty crates in its warehouse, which would normally be full of stock to give out to people in need. zoie o brien reports. well, the cost of living crisis has been impacting more and more families across our region. food banks have been dreading a fall in donations. i am at waverley food bank today and i am joined now by matthew who is the project manager. matthew, you have seen a fall of about 50%, haven t you? yeah, these crates here you can see around the room are normally 7 or8 high, 9 high, full of food, so, yeah, we are really down on donations. why do you think that is? people are donating. unfortunately, people donate the same amount of money which is absolutely brilliant, and we love them to do it, but it s buying less.
