Northern Ireland Secretary to Outline Centenary Plans Secretary of State Brandon Lewis is to formally launch the UK Government’s plans to mark Northern Ireland’s centenary next year. From: 15 December 2020 Secretary of State Brandon Lewis is to formally launch the UK Government’s plans to mark Northern Ireland’s centenary next year. At a Policy Exchange event in Belfast later, Mr Lewis will announce a £3million funding commitment for the anniversary, unveil centenary branding - ‘Our Story in the Making: NI Beyond 100’ - as well as outlining further details regarding the centenary programme. Northern Ireland to receive £3m for various events to help mark the centenary

Secretary of State Brandon Lewis will announce a £3m funding commitment from the UK Government today to help mark the Northern Ireland centenary next year. Mr Lewis will formally launch the government s plans for the milestone at a Policy Exchange event in Belfast, as well as unveil the event s branding - Our Story in the Making: NI Beyond 100. He will also outline further details regarding the centenary programme. A document obtained by the BBC in October revealed that events could be held across the UK and further afield to mark the occasion. DUP MP Sir Jeffrey Donaldson welcomed the forthcoming funding announcement and said it was right that UK Government supports the event.
