Lines are not supposed to very long throughout the day but turnout in this primary is expected to set a new record. Once youve been checked in at your polling location, a polling manager will take you to the voting booth. Essentially youll have several choices, but youre not voting on anything other than the candidate you want to see as the republican nominee. So folks should be in and out of the booth fairly quickly. I think the biggest confusion voters have is who is allowed to participate in either the republican primary or the democratic primary do you have to be a registered republican or a to that is South Carolina doesnt have we can choose to vote in either president ial primary, but you cant vote in both. Election county officials reported trouble. Many polling places say long lines because the machines were not working. The report below number of eltion volunteers this year.
