Now that Minnesota prosecutors have secured their first conviction in the murder of George Floyd, which begins the process of justice in this case, letâs turn our eyes to preventing future tragedies. As quoted in this article, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor said: âA verdict canât undo the tragedy of last summer, but this decision can ensure that George Floydâs life was not lost in vain. His death is prompting the law enforcement profession to evolve across our country.â
