How the small Highland Avenue Church in Elgin has thrived during the pandemic
 
Pastor Katie Shaw Thompson leads a Sunday service at Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren in Elgin that is broadcast via Zoom and YouTube. COVID-19 forced the church to turn to the internet to continue preaching to the flock, Thompson said, adding there s no denying its reach and convenience.
