Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), has berated the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) for fixing and determining fuel pump prices in Nigeria, saying the company lacks the power to fix fuel pump price, hence, the company’s adjustment of fuel pump price from about N500 to N617 is illegal. Falana, who said this while reacting to the NNPCL’s overnight price hike of fuel on Tuesday, noted that President Bola Tinubu, in his inaugural address in May, announced that his administration would govern the country in accordance with the rule of law.
