BBC s Huw Edwards backs city church rennovation The BBC’s Huw Edwards has backed a £370k rennovation for a Carntyne church. Essential repairs are to be made to Carntyne Parish Church after a cash boost was secured from Historic Environment Scotland, National Churches Trust and a variety of other funders. It is hoped that this will preserve the church for future generations. The congregation has been working tirelessly since 2012 to raise over £100k towards the vital restoration through Christmas and spring fayres as well as other social events. APRL Architects have been appointed to make crucial improvements to the church in order to ensure it remains wind and watertight, as well as ensuring it is welcoming for the wider community.
