A high-speed chase in St. Anthony Saturday night resulted in a Minidoka County man jumping into the Henrys Fork River near the Del Rio Bridge.
Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries reported that the man was first spotted near St. Anthonyâs U.S. Forest Service office where he was allegedly trying to steal some items.
âThe deputy saw him pull in there. When the deputy pulled in, this guy took off,â Humphries said.
The suspect tore down a county road before parking his truck near the Del Rio Bridge and jumping into the river. Humphries suspected the man was intoxicated.
