Im sarah montague. My guest today is one of the big names of the Apartheid Struggle in south africa. Ahmed kathrada was sentenced to Life Imprisonment alongside Nelson Mandela on Robben Island, spending 26 years of his life in prison. On their release, Nelson Mandela persuaded him tojoin him in government, an experience he did not like, but he has never stopped campaigning for the ideals of freedom on which the Anti Apartheid Movement was based.
