Alton man faces home invasion, armed robbery charges

EDWARDSVILLE An Alton man has been charged with armed robbery and home invasion after a November robbery in the 800 block of Ridge Street.
Antonio M. Evans, 26, was charged Dec. 2 with armed robbery and home invasion, both Class X felonies. The charges were sealed until Wednesday, Feb. 17, because Evans was not in custody.
The case was presented by the Alton Police Department.
According to court documents, on Nov. 17 Evans, allegedly armed with a silver handgun, entered a home in the 800 block of Ridge Street in Alton while at least one person was there and stole $3,000 in cash. ....
