Historic low we haven t seen that in 50 years. we have seen 10 million jobs created. he moved even further by making sure we lower those gas prices, right? because of russia and the war that putin has started, we saw gas prices go up. now it is down by $1.25 per gallon since the peak of june. that is because this president took historic actions to make sure that gas prices were coming down we still have more work to do! that is why the inflation reduction act is so important. we still have more work to do why hearing aid prices went down, 30 million people are going to be able to get hearing aids at a cost that is not $30,300 a pair. those are the types of actions he will continue to take to lower cost. we are already overtime. i can t let you go before, as you mentioned the previous president, is the white house worried that donald trump is going to be allowed back on twitter? i can t speak to that, i

Tougher challenge than we do because of energy. energy has gone up much more there than it s gone up here. it is a fact that it is a worldwide phenomenon. though in our case, there is self-inflicted pain that we ve put on ourselves with too much stimulus, too big budget deficits and bond buying by the federal reserve, too much money printing by the federal reserve, and that s coming home to roost. it is the number one issue, and it ll be a tough one for the democrats. steve, the fed stepped in, half point lifting of the rate. probably do it again in july. beyond that, what else stems this? this isn t going to go down in a meaningful way by november. we re still be paying a lot of money for gas and groceries. i may tick down, but it s still going to be dominant in people s lives. most economists say it is 4.5%, maybe 5% in the fall. the president is talking about meat prices and hearing aid

Inflation i mean inflation, excess demand caused the problems with the supply lines which then caused inflation. we are actually buying more stuff than we have ever bought before. imports were up 20 percent last month, and that creates you try to import 20% more things through the port of los angeles than you did before the pandemic, that causes supply problems. so it has left us in a really twisted-up situation. i can go with further examples like that. the answer is in the short run there s really nothing the administration can do. they ve tried to talk about a lot of small things like hearing aid prices. that s obviously not going to have an effect on inflation. i think the lesson learned is we have to be much more careful with our policy actions, both at the congressional level where more spending, more deficits would not be a good thing, and at the fed where, unfortunately, interest rates are going to have to go up. and you say it is not the supply chain, it is not the short
