We will get to that significant action in a moment, but before we do, just give me a second to go back to the context of what happened in the last election. I think it has been obscured by the sabotage and disinformation and violent insurrection unlike anything weve seen in the history of the country stoked by the former president. Remember this, last november, right, once in a cent ray pandemic, we got a glimpse of what a full or fuller participation version of our democracy would look like because due to the pandemic, state after state, jurisdiction after jurisdiction, and i should note this is both democratic and republican there were fights over this. But across the board, more or less on the whole in the aggregate, all these places did something praise worthy and novel. They took steps to make it easier to vote. They did this by expanding eligibility for mail ....
First of all, i do have just havent gotten any Immediate Reaction from anyone in the senate to the New York Times story on President Trump . I think were seeing a lot of democrats coming out and talking about it insane this explains why President Trump hit his taxes from the emergent people which is something that president know since Richard Nixon had been laying out before the people here are my taxes and i pay taxes and they like to brag about how much taxes they have paid but they can say they are hiding things. Now give a democrat saying look, this guy paid 750 in taxes in 2016 and 2017 and said he would come and poke picked the system and they say look, this guy has actually cut taxes for other peopl ....
That people want more access to health care, not less. Do you feel that . [applause] healthrystal clear that care is on the ballot this year and that means is that access to legal abortion. Come on now. The dayat the end of come abortion cares is health care. 77 of americans say they do not want to see roe v. Wade overturned. There is no state in this country where abortion bans are popular. Thats right, thats why today is so important. We appreciate the fact that you are here ready to breathe life into our democracy and stand up for our freedom. I know many of you have traveled there from very far away and we are excited that you bring our power, our dream and their aspirations into this event and into this moment.
