Id like to think everyone thank everyone for gathering here to discuss Racial Equity and coronavirus vaccinations. The coronavirus pandemic has hurt all americans. But some communities have had a heavy burden. Black, hispanic, and native americans have been infected with the coronavirus at higher rates than white americans. They are more than four times as likely to be hospitalized and twice as likely to die from the virus. Men and women of these communities are frontline workers who continue to face serious Death Threats in the workplace. And its not only about race. All the vulnerable communities, including lower incomes and Rural Communities, have faced disproportionate hardships during this crisis, as well, and especially in recent months.
