Students age 16 and older, as well as their families, can schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments Thursday in Eveleth.
St. Louis County Public Health will offer the Pfizer vaccine at Thursday s clinic. The Pfizer vaccine is approved for anyone age 16 and older, while the Moderna vaccine is only approved for people age 18 and older. The county s more permanent vaccine site in Eveleth offers the Moderna vaccine.
The clinic is being offered to make it as easy as possible for students to get vaccinated now to minimize the risk of having to quarantine and miss graduation, sports playoff competitions and any other late-spring or summer activities and celebrations, a news release from St. Louis County said. ....

County Adds Senior Vaccine Help Line

DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – St. Louis County Public Health has established a new phone line to assist seniors in scheduling COVID vaccine appointments.
Anyone 65 and older without a medical care provider can call the special scheduling line at 218-726-2623 from 8:30 a-m to 4 p-m Monday through Friday.
Those calling after hours can leave a message.
Public Health Division Director Amy Westbrook says the line is designed to help seniors without access to computers to get scheduled for a vaccine.
Those 65 and over who have yet to be vaccinated can also check with their medical provider or local pharmacy for appointment possibilities. ....
