MARION With all of its permits now approved, the Board of Health on Feb. 2. is allowing occupancy to resume at the once condemned house at 464 Front Street. The house was condemned when owner Lauren Fisher, 65, was arrested for two counts of animal cruelty, interfering with a police officer, and resisting arrest on Dec. 11, 2019. Since then, the house remained unlivable. There were plans to demolish the building in mid-December, but the order was lifted on Jan. 20 after the board noted a significant improvement in conditions. Marion Health Agent David Flaherty noted that following a recent inspection from the building commissioner, the house is “in very good shape.”
