For the first time since joining the ASUN Conference, the Liberty women’s soccer program is crowned ASUN Champions, defeating Kennesaw State, 1-0, in an overtime thriller Saturday afternoon at the Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.
With the win, Liberty is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016. The NCAA Soccer Championship begins on April 27. Liberty will find out who they play on Monday, April 19, during the NCAA’s Selection Show.
On Saturday, Liberty’s Cora Duininck was named the ASUN Tournament MVP and joining Duininck on the ASUN All-Tournament Team is McKinley Burkett, Melody Jayroe and Meredith King. ....
