Dunfermline jobs boost as food distributor takes over old Palmer & Harvey site

A Dunfermline based company has taken over the former home of wholesale giant Palmer & Harvey Mclane (P&H) in Pitreavie creating 60 new jobs. The depot will be double the size of The Cress Company s current premises in Castle Industrial Centre, with business continuing to look strong for them due to increased sales in 2020. The nation wide fine foods distributor aims to create over 60 new permanent roles in the next three years across the business in customer service, warehouse, buying and more. Cress Co’s new home in Pitreavie Business Park was once home to P & H, who entered administration in 2017, sparking fears that the huge site would be left to go into disrepair.
