Even he, i think, was sort of saying he doesnt know that thats true, but that sounds like what the strategy is going to be. I think it is partly true. I do think some of that will happen, but you dont want to rely on that as your major strategy. So, what needs to happen is he needs to and hopefully theres some quiet discussions going on right now. He needs to identify some key conservative champions that he can reach out to and enlist to help him in that. Thats going to have to be a priority. 26 hours of deliberations by a jury composed of seven men, five women, and one person of color. it came after a trial chock full of controversy from day one starting with the judge refusing for the people shot by rittenhouse to be referred tos a victims. rittenhouse took the stand and said he was forced to act in self-defense when he shot three men. during close, statements, the defense claimed that rittenhouse, who came from kenosha, from illinois, armed with an ar-15 was there to, quote, try to help this community. the prosecution referred to rittenhouse as a, quote, chaos tourist, who was looking for trouble. the city of kenosha is on edge at this hour. ahead of the verdicts, schools had begun remote again, and the governor deployed 500 national guardsmen. the president is kulg for protests to remain peaceful saying this, quote, while the verdict in kenosha will leave many americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken.

good morning. 11:00 a.m. eastern, 8:00 a.m. pacific. i m jose diaz-balart along side my colleague ana cabrera. breaking news in one of donald trump s legal cases. moments ago, nbc news learned donald trump posted a bond of over $91 million in the e. jean carroll case, just days before it was due on monday. let s get right to msnbc legal analyst glen kirschner and our correspondent lisa rubin on the phone. lisa, first, what do we know, what can you report? this morning, ana, alina habba, one of trump s lawyers, the lead lawyer in the e. jean carroll case, filed a motion with the court to post a bond in the amount of $91 million and 630,000 as well. that represents the total amount that would be required to obtain a stay, pending appeal, in this case. the judgment as you will recall was $83.3 million, usually a defendant has to post more than 100% of that to obtain the 630 necessary to protect the person who won as the case goes through appeal. but at this point, what trump
