Canberra drug dealer who flaunted lavish lifestyle brutally bashed in jail

Share Woods was convicted of drink driving and fined on Tuesday and also pleaded guilty to drug trafficking, possession of two tasers and possession of tainted cash. A friend of Woods died on her floor after overdosing on drugs, the court heard.  The Canberra woman (pictured) has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking among other charges  Prosecutor Elizabeth Wren brought up the death while arguing for a jail sentence. What is concerning is that such a significant event did not cause her to cease her behaviour and reflect on her offending, Ms Wren said. Police found $16,565 in cash at Woods home, and she paid for her black Mercedes Benz in cash.

Hadley board shuts senior center till January The new Hadley Senior Center was opened in August. via Facebook By SCOTT MERZBACH HADLEY Only essential services will be available in-person at the Hadley Senior Center until early January following a decision by the Select Board Dec. 17 to close the building to the public. Citing the concerning rise in COVID-19 cases across the region in recent weeks, and anticipating the possibility of a similar spike following Christmas, the board voted 4-0, with Jane Nevinsmith abstaining, to keep the center shuttered until the board meets again on Jan. 6. The decision also closes Town Hall to the public, though that building had been open to residents only by appointment.
