Oxford Crown Court A teen drug dealer who led police on a 100mph chase down the M40 has been given a final chance to stay out of prison. A police helicopter and dog units were scrambled to hunt down 18-year-old Wantage man Lewis Greenslade after he fled from police in Warwick.
Oxford Crown Court heard that during the 45 minute chase on September 11, 2020, Greenslade’s Vauxhall Astra hit speeds of 105mph on the M40 – having earlier been clocked at 70mph in a 30 zone and 95mph on a road with a 50mph speed limit. The 55-plate Astra crossed onto the wrong-side of the road, swerved between lanes on the motorway and went down a prohibited access road at the motorway services.
