then we got more violence. but this time in denver. people took to the streets in downtown. you can see them there with police in tow. here about 11 arrests. some of those charges including resisting arrest and assault on police officers. now, we ve got to say as the cities on this map grows, we know one thing. and that s that a lot of these protests are organized on social media and thousands upon thousands of people are showing up for these protests chris. all right, rosa. we see it s coming up a lot of the issues are the same but the outcome is different everywhere. here in baltimore thousands of police and national guard added to the mix. and we have just as many outraged citizens. the tension between the two would come down to when the clock struck 10:00. and here s what happened. go home. curfew once again the moment of truth in baltimore. you now have about 300 people here who aren t sure whether they want to leave or not. thousands of national guard added to t
officers is in the spotlight and on the spot accused by police supporters and surrogates of rushing to justice and have having a conflict of interest and she disagreed and something people out here have been demanding, some suspect of accountability. when asked how she believed she will deliver accountability she answered you are getting it. tonight we ll keep an eye on the courtroom and the facts of the case and another on the bigger picture in baltimore and beyond. i want to begin with our jason carroll on the streets of baltimore tonight. jason, a very different scene on the streets of baltimore all throughout the day since the announcement was made today. reporter: anderson i have to tell you, several days ago it what a it was a much different experience than what we are experiencing here. right now thousands of people are weaving their way watch your back watch your back weaving through mlk boulevard, weaving through mlk and chanting and honking in solidarity
they are been out here mandating barricades. there was a small contingent of baltimore police armed with riot helmets and clubs because a group of protestors had come down here walking from the cvs and they have lost and brian todd is with them and we ll check in with him and as they left so did the fall inks of fall inks of police officers. we have seen some clashes between protestors and police officers. there have been helicopters throughout the day and a number of arrests. we see and feel a great deal of tension. no doubt about that. and we ve seen the good people of baltimore step up and step in helping not just with the clean-up but also trying to cool things down and even putting themselves between police and some of the hotter-tempered protestors out today. all of this after 144 cars and trucks were set on fire 15 buildings burned and 20 police officers were hurt and 200 people arrested. president obama weighed in today and so did the baltimore mayor. now how their
