Harrison County voters agree to renew education levy | 104.5 FM & 1440 AM | The Voice of Morgantown

Posted by mikenolting on HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. – The Harrison County Schools levy was overwhelming passed by voters. The levy provides more about $25 million each year for school improvements and operations. According to the Harrison County Clerk’s office, 3,705 voters were in favor of renewing the levy while 615 voted against renewal. Voters are asked to renew the levy every five years. Superintendent of Harrison County Schools, Dora Stutler is grateful for the support from the community. “There are just so many critical programs that we have and I can’t imagine pulling them out of the schools without having the levy,” Stutler said,” We’re just really grateful that Harrison County supports education like it does.”
