murray says he shot at darian once in the chest, seriously injuring the boy. cnn has made repeated attempts to get comment from capers, but he is not responding. darian s mother says he developed a collapsed long and suffered due to the gunshot wound. he spent days in the icu at the university of mississippi medical center in jackson. needing a ventilator to breathe. it came right here. more than a week since the shooting, he is remarkably in good spirits. but sometimes when he s along with his thoughts for too long, he has nightmares. sometimes i can see myself laying inside the coffin. [inaudible] sometimes i think people are watching me. but my main thought is me dead. i m so over filled with joy to have my child i don t have time to be angry. i trust in the law, that they will make the wrong decision. my main concern is my son right
now. the family and attorney filed a federal lawsuit against the city. the police chief and several officers including capers. they re seeking $5 million in damages. if anyone who has ever been a victim of excessive force, it is him. he called the police to come to the aid of his mother and he turns around and gets shot by the cop he called to rescue them. if that officer was here, sitting right here across from you, what would you want to tell him, darian? why did you do it? how could i could have lost my life all because of you. i want you terminated. for what you did to me. as for what s next, this incident was captured on body camera. the family and community demanded release of that body camera. this case, however, has been taken over by the mississippi bureau of investigation and they

disturbance. his familiar s attorney said he was trying to protect his mother. the washington post reports that murray followed the police officer s commands and had his hands up but was still shot in the chest. officials there have voted to place the police officer on paid administrative leave while the case is investigated by the state. steve patterson is following this for us. and also, detective mark claxton. what more do we can about how this young boy is doing and where this investigation stands? according to the family, after darian rounded that corner, met the police officer, he was shot one time in the chest. he collapsed to the ground, apparently after being shot, he was screaming, what did i do wrong? why was i shot? according to medical officials, he suffered a collapsed lung, a lacerated liver. he was rushed to the hospital
they played on fox news, according to darian s lawyers, carmagnani sprayed him with their repellent, and that is why he pulled the metal pipe out of the trash can and chased carmagnani with it, striking him repeatedly. he is pursuing mr. dougherty who is running away, and the first thing that mr. dowdy does when he realizes it is mr. carmagnani coming at him, is he ducks out of the way with his co-covering his head. implying he knows, and has been subjected to the violence of the bear spray in prior incidents. wait a second, prior incidents? there was more evidence made public by dowdy his lawyers showing that someone has been going on this very neighborhood for years spraying homeless people with chemical spray. and they believe that person is
