The vote was expected to be held thursday night, but has been delayed until sometime later today. Senate republicans are expected to block the measure underscoring the deep partisan divide that has emerged sips the riot. Just a few months ago some republicans were adamant that a 9/11style commission into the capitol security was needed, now they argue that it wouldn t bring any new information about the insurrection and could turn into a partisan dispute.
