An official press release stated that a quantity of over 382.35 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of wheat has been procured against last year s corresponding purchase of 324.81 LMT. Procurement of Wheat in ongoing Rabi Marketing Season (RMS) 2021-22 is continuing smoothly in the procuring States of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir at MSP, as was done in previous seasons and till now (upto May 20) a quantity of over 382.35 LMT of Wheat has been procured against the last year corresponding purchase of 324.81 LMT. About 65 percent more wheat procured during current RMS ANI 05 May 2021, 04:37 GMT+10 New Delhi [India], May 4 (ANI): The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on Tuesday informed that about 65 per cent more wheat procured during the current Rabi marketing season (RMS) in comparison to the corresponding period last year. Procurement of wheat in ongoing RMS 2021-22 is continuing smoothly in the procuring states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat Jammu and Kashmir and Bihar at minimum support price (MSP), as was done in previous seasons, and till now (upto May 3) a quantity of over 299.16 lakh metric tonne (LMT) of wheat has been procured against the last year corresponding purchase of 181.37 LMT. ....
