National Merit Scholarships Awarded To LAHS Seniors - 7:29 am LAHS senior Isaac Ortega is awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship for his strong combination of academic skills and achievements, extracurricular accomplishments and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Courtesy/LAHS LAHS News: Isaac Ortega, a senior at Los Alamos High School (LAHS), is one of 14 New Mexico students named as winners of National Merit $2,500 Scholarships. In addition, nine LAHS seniors are among 1,000 distinguished students receiving corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship awards financed by about 140 corporations, company foundations and other business organizations.
