Good evening, joshua, were getting the 8 00 p. M. Advisory from the national Hurricane Center that were seeing the center of the storm on radar. Thats the green you see here beginning to show up. Thats about 275, 280 miles from New Orleans at the current time. So the white is the clouds, the green is the Rain Bands and those will be moving on shore as we go throughout the morning hours. This is the satellite imagery, and we color it to see the brighter reds or top of the thunderstorms, lets meteorologists know where the stronger portions of the storm are. The winds did not increase. Thats great. Were 18 hours or so from landfall, we want to keep this as weak as possible. We dont think its going to get weak before a landfall, we think its going to become stronger, category 3 overnight, and right before landfall possibly getting up to a category 4.
