Richmark Real Estate Partners LLC, the Greeley-based real estate development and investment company that owns numerous properties along the Eighth Avenue corridor, has submitted plans for a grocery store at 1320 Eighth Ave. The store would be located in the long-vacant Downtown Deals on Wheels building. Richmark acquired the property in December 2015 for $1.2 million. The 1320 Eighth Ave. project is undergoing design review with the city of Greeley. GREELEY The Greeley Downtown Development Authority has canceled, for the second year, the Blarney on the Block festival because of continuing crowd limitations due to the pandemic. The festival was to be held March 13, but the downtown group canceled it because the community’s yellow-level COVID restrictions limit attendance at outdoor events to 175. Investor launches Greeley real estate buying spree A Texas native with Colorado ties has embarked on a real estate buying spree in Greeley, snapping up dozens of properties over the past couple of years. Chris Flaherty, 29, owner of Blue Oak Properties LLC and Rockport Properties LLC, has spent an estimated $20 million on the properties, most of which were acquired under the Blue Oak umbrella. The latest acquisition occurred Friday, when Blue Oak purchased the Bear’s Den Apartments at 1609-1617 10th Ave. for $2.2 million. Blue Oak Properties LLC is co-located with one of Flaherty’s bookkeepers and property managers at 1808 Boise Ave. in Loveland. Flaherty acquired his first local property in April 2019, snapping up 10 single-family properties in Greeley, Evans and Weld County. Some of the properties initially were purchased by Flaherty and subsequently transferred to Blue Oak once the limited-liability company was formed.
