covid-19. we begin in marin county tonight as bay area public health officials intensify warnings about the spread of covid-19. the violent reaction of a jogger asked to wear a mask is now under investigation. nbc bay area s jean elle has more on the assault. reporter: trails around phoenix lake and ross are popular. signs about mask requirements are posted, but not everyone is wearing one. we literally just walked by a group of people that had masks around their necks, and they weren t wearing them. reporter: robert may didn t say anything as he passed the group. i think it s really uncomfortable for all of us. reporter: on wednesday morning, rangers responded to an assault here. a 59-year-old larkspur man said he put up his hand and told an approaching jogger to put on a mask. the jogger pushed the man to the ground and kept on running. rangers did not locate the young man. walkers are stunned by the violent reaction and divided about how to handle people viol
we just pulled this whole thing out and busted the wind apart right there. a break and at a bay area school. and thief is seen on security video going from room to room before leaving with 100 laptops meant for students. the question for me was, you know, what do we do now? school starts in just a few weeks. those computers are needed for distance-learning. the security video shows that thieves spent five hours inside that school. those laptops he stole and the damage he caused, estimated at around the school is st. thomas the apostle located on ottawa street in the outer richmond district. school officials said this could not have happened at a worse time. reporter: these laptops were supposed to be distributed to students before the first day of class. now school officials hope the surveillance videos will help identify the thief. so this is our computer cart with 100 laptops and there. reporter: ms. 100 laptops now stolen after a thief broke into st. thomas t
