so in terms of control of the senate, control of the direction of the country, every race really matters. every seat really matters. every candidate really matters. it is just on a knife s edge. and i mean, just on a personal level, if you didn t know whether you would volunteer for a candidate yet this year. if you would volunteer to door knock or do some get out the vote work. if you haven t committed to voting for sure yourself this year, this year your vote will really matter. this is not one to skip out on. this election will be very tight and very, very interesting. and very consequential. again, if the polling bears out. and election day looks anything like the polls say it will lookh today. we ll be talking with the man in charge of the democratic party s efforts in the senate in just a moment. obviously, a super high stakes job. a super difficult job. still though, who would you rather be? would you rather be the senate guy for the democrats right now? or would you r
i think largely successful. it was a little bit of a rocky start with the legislature. i think sometimes criticism that has often been made of him, maybe one that i ve made, sometimes he can view our state legislature as a division of north dakota incorporated. he s very used to being a ceo, forgetting the legislature is a separate branch of governmentful he s had some clashes with the legislature in the past. but really, that s normal, right? for the american system of government, for the legislative branch to clash with the executive branch. maybe just a little out of norm of what north dakotans have expected in modern politics but he s been aggressive. and really, it the one skill that has translated well is his ability to surround himself with good people. he s brought good people in. he s gotten a lot done as governor. i want to play for our audience what burgum has said about what he thinks people want in 2024. we need a leader who

the fbi director says that s what should happen. the fbi director is wrong. this is serious. but part of it does read like a joke. remember, donald trump s major mention over the last two years was, no collusion in 2016. and now he s basically saying, no collusion in 2016 but i m open to collusion in 2020. this is the real world we re living in. the fbi is not wrong under the law. you cannot take anything of value or anything else from a foreign governmentful that s the law. democrats have argued that based on what happened last time around trump s associates, they want to go further and have reports of these offers be required. democrats unsparing in their criticism. yesterday the president gave us evidence once again that he does not know right from wrong. that s shocking.
