people and was very focused on the dollar general store where the shooting took place. reporter: the jacksonville sheriff s office revealing new details tonight about the gunman, 21-year-old ryan palmeter. he worked at a dollar tree store last year. and authorities have now tracked his movements on the day of the shooting. surveillance video shows he stopped at a family dollar five minutes away from where the shooting took place. so it looks like he wanted to take action at the family dollar. that s what it looks like. and he did not because i think he got impatient, got tired of waiting. reporter: he then drove to edward waters university, a historically black institution. there, he donned this tactical vest. jacksonville deputies were inside the dollar general. investigators believe this is the moment he took his own life.
