The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) issued notices to 13 establishments, including malls, hospitals, and education institutions, for fire safety compliance. The establishments must address the notices to pass fresh inspections. Minor shortfalls were identified, and hospitals were advised not to admit new patients until meeting fire safety norms. Three malls and education institutes were also notified for improvements.
According to the FIR lodged by the Lok Rakshak jawan of the Gorwa police station, Patel "refused to show the RC book under any circumstance" and "dared the police" to take action against him.
