Maharashtra government renames Nagpur’s Gorewada International Zoo after Bal Thackeray

A government resolution (GR) has been issued in this regard, said Rathod in a statement.
As per reports, the Zoological park will consist of nearly 2,000 hectares of forest land. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray will be inaugurating the Indian safari on January 26.
Further, as per reports, the authority will begin an online ticket booking facility as soon as the Chief Minister inaugurates the Indian safari. The authorities have also come up with three special 40-seat capacity vehicles for experiencing the Indian safari at Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park in Nagpur.
