A local after-school club is spreading Christmas cheer to older people in a care home in Drogheda.
The children of the Moneymore After School club have written very special messages in cards to some of the elderly residents in Moorehall Lodge, wishing them a very merry Christmas and a much happier 2021! We got the idea when An Post were sending free cards to older people, and we know it must have been hard for them with few visitors while cocooning, explains the club co-ordinator Edel Fairclough. We would normally be doing so many more activities in the club this time of year, so it was great to have something for the children to do, and hopefully it will spread a bit of happiness.
