The pooja was held in December 2021 by the then Urban Development Minister Byrathi Basavaraj and work order was issued to a contractor in January 2022 but the rejuvenation of the lake is yet to begin.
Delhi G20 Summit 2023 Live Updates: The Delhi Police have asked the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to shut a few entry and exit gates of metro stations during the G20 Summit. These stations include Khan Market, IIT, Hauz Khas, Palam, etc.
The dispute is over 11 acres and 39 guntas of land bearing survey numbers 65, 94, and 19/2 at Kothur Village of Vijinapura in KR Puram Hobli. One of the petitioners, Yatish M, the grandson of BM Venkatamma, had obtained a temporary injunction order on March 2, 2019 in the final decree proceedings No. 67/2002 by the Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge.
However, according to the BBMP Lakes Department, the restoration of the lake was done in 2019, but works such as making walkways, jogging tracks, and fencing around the lake had been left pending.
