In a move that has raised eyebrows, Google has confirmed layoffs across key teams such as Flutter, Dart, and Python ahead of its annual I/O developer conference. The company has, however, not revealed the specific teams, roles, or number of employees affected.
In order to share one desk among several employees, Google has encouraged staff to rotate their work days, such as Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tech giant Google is learnt to have sacked around 450 employees across various departments in India. The employees were reportedly informed of their termination through mail late at night on Thursday.
