to evacuate after that blast. that explosion shattered windows in several blasts. abc 7 news reporter jonathan bloom has the story. reporter: evacuated residents returned in time for it dinner in all except the home where the explosion happen. we have been in contact with the building owner. he does have about eight tenants that will now be getting services from the american red cross. reporter: it began at 10:00 a.m. where one woman says it s the second gas leak in as many weeks. firefighters are knocking on our door asking us to evacuate the building. reporter: while they told residents there was no need to panic, firefighters said this was not a drill. we had firefighters arrive on scene with the heavy smell of gas, they positioned away from the building and started walking up and it exploded. reporter: video shows the damage. three front windows shattered and garage windows blown out into the street. there s no other real reason for that. reporter: ....
