Mattress Mack invited Houston to come out and show their Cougar Pride at a pep rally event at his Gallery Furniture store on the North Freeway earlier today. Dana went out to cheer on UH and brought back a few photos. Check them out below.
This marks the first time the Cougars are going to the Final Four since the Phi Slama Jama era when the team made it to the 1984 title game. Mattress Mack is celebrating with one of his signature Big Bets on the Coogs and offering Gallery Furniture customers an incredible money-back deal if they win the National Championship. Mack is also flying a whole bunch of Houstonians to Indianapolis on a private jet to root for the Coogs in person in the Final Four! SUNNY listener Megan Brown won a spot on the trip. In addition to Megan and winners from a couple of our sister stations, ABC 13 reports that Mack also gave away trips to 50 University of Houston students and invited the families of the UH Basketball coaches.
