live from our studio in singapore, it is bbc news, newsday. we re spending a lot of time talking about climate change with all the events happening in glasgow, and we ll have more on that in a moment. but, some new research hasjust been released about carbon emissions, which are expected to rebound this year to levels last seen before the coronavirus pandemic. the findings, published in the global carbon budget by a team of climate scientists, show that carbon dioxide releases into the atmosphere will rise by almost the same amount that they decreased in 2020, when many countries went into lockdown. the findings challenge efforts to limit global warming to one point five celsius the tipping point for dangerous climate change. researchers say that if present trends continue, we could exceed that limit in 11 years unless ambitious goals to cut emissions are achieved. at the cop summit, banks and investors have been making pledges towards fighting climate change. $130 trillion
