It is the only sport I’ve found that compels you to be totally in the moment. You embrace nature, clear your mind, and find inspiration in embracing nature. How did you get into it and how old were you? Many years ago, I went through the IBM Global Entrepreneurship Program, where I met venture capitalist Bill Tai (known locally for being an early investor in graphic design platform Canva). Bill showed me some footage of himself kitesurfing at an event off Necker Island with Richard Branson (who owns the British Virgin island). In that moment, I knew the only way I’d ever be invited to an event like that was if I could kitesurf. I took lessons on and off over the next few years.
