I think culture and family could be considered one answer to the problem of African American poverty and its persistent. And im going to ask our panel to reflect broadly on that with some focus on cultural and family but not exclusively on that. We have a very distinguished panel, on my far left on my mar left is gene dattel who is the author of a powerful new book called reckoning with race, americas failure. He grew up with the mississippi delta and has been surrounded by africanamerican poverty his whole life and is perplexed by it. Anthony bradley from Kings College say distinguished faculty member there and the author of the director of the center for human flower risching, chair of the religious and Theological Studies Program and the author of the book blook and tired liber brating black theology. In for some slowdowns. There are some lane closures in both directions. We are starting to see the slowdowns building in the southbound direction as well. This is between 23rd and 29th. They should have all of this wrapped up by 6 00 this morning. We will keep you posted. Over at the bay bridge toll plaza, we see more cars joining the thursday morning commute. Traffic is backing up in some of the cash lanes. Fremont police and other Law Enforcement agencies say they broke up a major bay area wide car burglaries game. Nine people have been arrested as part of what investigators call an International Crime ring. It is sophisticated and organized. We estimate the loss to be around 2 million. Reporter they are described as a multimillion Dollar International burglary ring whose criminal activity spans every bay area county with a final destination of vietnam.
