RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh recognized several Adult Detention Center correctional officers who earn national certification through the American Jail Association during Thursday’s Rutherford County Commission meeting.
Lt. David Hutsell earned re-certification and Lt. Glen Edgell earned certification as Certified Jail Managers.
Sgt. Adam Sowden and Sgt. William Franzel earned status as Certified Jail Supervisors.

Detention supervisors from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office recruited potential deputies during the MLK Day of Service Career Expo Thursday at Patterson Park Community Center.One prospective deputy from the Expo has already notified Lt. Glen Edgell about a job at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and more jobs remain unfilled. Edgell was joined by Lt. David Hutsell and Sgt.
